Who we are

L'Anubis Private Security (“L'Anubis”, “we”, “us”) is a Nigerian security, risk-management, intelligence and technology company. This notice covers www.lanubis.com and the authenticated L'Anubis platform used by our personnel and our clients.

Information you give us

Security assessment requests

When you submit the form on our contact page, we collect the information you enter: your name, and — where you choose to provide them — your organisation, your position, your email address, your phone number, your location, the service you are interested in, your preferred contact method and whatever you write in the free-text fields describing your security requirement. Only your name and email address are required.

Career applications

When you apply through our careers page, we collect your name, email address, the position you are applying for, and — where you choose to provide them — your phone number, your location, a message, a link to your CV, and a CV file you upload. A CV typically contains a great deal of personal information; you decide what to include in it.

Uploaded CVs are stored in private storage under a filename generated by our server, not by your device, so the file cannot be reached by guessing a web address. Only PDF, DOC and DOCX files up to 5 MB are accepted. CVs are available to authorised L'Anubis recruitment staff.

Platform accounts

Accounts on the L'Anubis platform are created by an administrator for employees and for client organisations; there is no public sign-up. For an account we hold a name, an email address, a role, and a password stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never store your password itself and cannot read it. Where two-factor authentication is enabled we hold the data needed to verify your codes.

Information collected automatically

Security and activity records

The platform keeps an audit record of significant actions — such as signing in and out, submitting or reviewing a record, and administrative changes. Each entry records the account involved, its role, the action, the time, and what was affected. These records exist so that actions on a security platform can be accounted for, and they are not editable by ordinary users.

When you submit a public form, or sign in, we record a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address rather than the address itself. We use it only to apply rate limits and to detect abuse. Because the value is a hash, it cannot be turned back into your IP address.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs of requests to the site, which include technical details such as the address requested, the response status and the time.

Cookies and similar technologies

Browsing the public pages of this site does not require you to accept cookies from us, and we do not set an advertising or marketing cookie. When you sign in to the platform we set a session cookie, which is strictly necessary to keep you signed in; signing out ends it.

This website is hosted on a third-party application platform, and that platform loads its own measurement script on public pages. That script sets a cookie, stores a value in your browser's local storage, and reads your browser's time zone, user-agent string and referring page in order to produce aggregate traffic statistics for the site. It is operated by the hosting provider rather than by L'Anubis.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in to the platform.

Why we use this information

• To respond to a security assessment request or an enquiry, and to discuss and provide security services.
• To assess a job application and to run our recruitment process.
• To operate the secure platform: to authenticate accounts, deliver the features the account is entitled to, and produce the operational and client reporting our services depend on.
• To keep the site and the platform secure — applying rate limits, detecting abuse, and maintaining the audit record that lets an action be accounted for.
• To meet obligations that apply to us as a security services provider.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the information you submit to this site for advertising or behavioural profiling.

Location information

Browsing this website does not collect your location.

On the operational platform, and only for L'Anubis personnel on duty, location may be recorded at the moment an officer checks in or out of a shift in order to confirm attendance at the correct site. This is configurable, applies during authorised operational periods rather than continuously, and is explained to personnel through the platform. Client users do not see personnel locations.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the platform, and they process information on our behalf and under our instructions. At a high level these are: the application hosting platform that serves this website, the managed database and file storage where records and uploads are kept, and the browser notification service used to alert our staff to new submissions.

We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Our hosting and database infrastructure is operated by cloud providers, and processing may therefore take place outside Nigeria.

How long we keep it

We are being direct about this rather than quoting a period we do not yet apply: L'Anubis has not finalised a formal data retention schedule, and no automatic deletion currently runs on this platform. In practice this means enquiries, applications, uploaded CVs, account records and audit records are retained until we establish a retention schedule or until you ask us to delete them and we are able to do so.

Some records — in particular audit records and records connected to a security incident — may need to be kept for longer for accountability or legal reasons, and may be retained even where other information has been removed. When a retention schedule is adopted, this notice will be updated to state it.

How we protect it

• The site and the platform are served over HTTPS.
• Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes and are never stored or transmitted in readable form.
• What each account can reach is decided on our servers by the role it holds, not by hiding controls in the browser.
• Uploaded files are held in private storage under server-generated names and are not served from guessable addresses.
• Public forms are rate-limited, and IP addresses are recorded only as one-way hashes.
• Significant actions are recorded in an audit log that ordinary users cannot edit.

No system can be guaranteed secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw an application or enquiry. Write to anidi@lanubis.com or contactus@lanubis.com, or call one of the numbers below. Please tell us enough to identify the record you are asking about — for example the email address you used.

We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can. Where we cannot do what you have asked — for example where a record must be kept for accountability reasons — we will tell you why.

Children

This website and the L'Anubis platform are intended for businesses, institutions and adults seeking employment. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when what we do with personal information changes — including when a retention schedule is adopted. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
